Thousands of lights make up Christmas tree displays

STORY: A floating display in the shape of a Christmas tree made up of one hundred and sixty-five supporting poles, seven kilometres of electric cable, and 2,600 perimeter lights - was lit on the waters of Trasimeno Lake on Saturday (December 17) in front of an audience of tourists and locals.

Gubbio lit up one of the the world's largest 'Christmas tree', laid out on the side of Mount Ingino and made up of over 800 lights. The tree-shaped lights display is 800 meters high (2624 feet), 400 meters (1312 feet) wide, and the lights are connected by over 12,000 meters (40,000 feet) of cables.
