Possible 'Undescribed Species' of Jellyfish Captured on Camera

A possible “undiscovered species” of jellyfish was captured on camera during a NOAA dive in the Atlantic Ocean on July 28.

This footage, uploaded to Facebook, shows the jellyfish bobbing in the water.

According to NOAA Ocean Exploration, the jellyfish was one of “several potentially undescribed/unknown animals encountered during the last dive of the 2021 North Atlantic Stepping Stones expedition.” Credit: NOAA Ocean Exploration via Storyful
