The National Weather Service (NWS) Omaha’s Doppler radar captured a large formation of waterfowl near Mound City, Missouri, on March 4, as the birds migrated north.

Radar footage shared by the NWS shows activity near Mound City. “Waterfowl are on the move,” wrote the NWS on the post. “Our Doppler radar picked up what we believe to be a large flock of birds leaving the Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge near Mound City, MO this morning (shown in the yellow oval). Tis the season!”
