A motorcycle became lodged underneath a pickup truck, sending sparks flying, as the vehicle drove away from protesters in Portland, Oregon, late on August 4.
The Oregonian said the truck drove close to a crowd on North Lombard Street, near the Portland Police Association building where protesters had gathered that night. The driver abandoned the truck a few blocks away, the paper said.
Protests in the city were continuing for the 69th day when the incident occurred. Early on August 5, police declared the scene outside the police union an unlawful assembly and ordered people to disperse.
