Yellowstone White Dome Geyser Eruption Caught on Camera

A patient Montana native witnessed the sight of the White Dome Geyser erupting in Yellowstone National Park, after waiting 20 minutes to capture the natural beauty on camera.

Cindy Shaffer, who regularly posts footage from visits to Yellowstone National Park shared footage of the moment to Facebook on October 11.

Narrating the footage, Shaffer said she “can always tell when it’s ready,” to erupt as “it gets real steamy and loud inside.”

According to YellowstoneNationalPark.com, the White Dome Geyser is “temperamental and irregular” and usually erupts with jets of water, progressing into steam and spray. Credit: Cindy Shaffer via Storyful
