The defending champions secured a place in the last 16 of Euro 2024 after a nail-biting 1-1 draw with Croatia, courtesy of Zaccagni, leaving Croatian tournament hopes in a precarious position.

Italy finish second in Group B with four points, and will next face Switzerland for a spot in the quarter-finals.

Croatia, meanwhile, are left hoping that their two points will be enough to advance to the knockout stage as one of the best four third-placed teams.
