Questions linger on the possibility of the Federal Reserve’s independence being challenged under the administration of President-elect Trump.

Bank of America CEO, Brian Moynihan chimed in on his views on the control system around the Fed during an interview with Yahoo Finance Executive Editor Brian Sozzi at Yahoo Finance Invest.

Moynihan says that an “independent central bank is a good place to be.”

When asked about the job Fed Chair Jerome Powell has done thus far, Moynihan voiced his approval of Powell’s performance, saying "he has done a good job working through the system." He admits the Fed was late in addressing rising inflation, but he notes that the situation at the time was "unprecedented."
