Police officers surprised residents in Titusville, Florida, by fulfilling their grocery order after arresting the delivery driver who was meant to fulfill it.

Homeowner Joseph G Neu provided Storyful with this footage of the March 26 encounter.

Neu explained that his wife had ordered groceries from ALDI before two police officers unexpectedly showed up at their door.

In the video, a female police officer can seen ringing their doorbell and telling them, “Your driver got arrested, so we’re delivering your groceries.”

Shocked, Neu’s wife can be heard replying “I bet you haven’t had that before,” to which the officer laughs and says “No, but we didn’t want your groceries to go to waste.”

Another officer seen in the footage says to the homeowner, “We’re not the first ones to do it, I promise you.”

According to FOX35 citing Titusville Police, the delivery driver Richard Robertson was wanted on felony charges in Texas and Florida.

“Titusville Police were successful in the arrest of a wanted felon off the city streets. However, we remain compassionate and appreciative of our citizens, and we’re happy to complete the delivery of paid groceries to a valued community member,” police told FOX35. Credit: Joseph G Neu via Storyful
