Denver Zoo is providing daily updates to patrons on the lives of its animals, as part of a “closed but still caring” campaign prompted by the coronavirus pandemic.

The zoo released footage on April 18 that shows its 400-pound male Amur tiger, Yuri, as he attempts to master a wooden ramp in his enclosure.

According to the zoo, Yuri’s female counterpart, Nikita, has no qualms about using the ramp. She was a “queen of the catwalk,” they said, compared to the more reluctant Yuri. However, “with our guests away, and with lots of encouragement,” the zoo said, Yuri finally conquered the ramp.
