Wounded military veterans made their way across the Seven Mile Bridge connecting the Florida Keys on Friday, January 10, as part of a scenic cycling event.
According to the Florida Keys News Bureau, about 40 veterans took part in the first day of the two-day Wounded Warrior Project’s Florida Keys Soldier Ride, which departed from Miami and ended at Veterans Memorial Beach in Big Pine Key on Friday, before resuming and ending in Key West the following day.
The annual cycling event organized by the Wounded Warrior Project aims to “raise public awareness and support for the needs of severely injured members of the military,” the Florida Keys News Bureau told Storyful.
