Drivers Navigate Flooded Roads Along Quebec's Rivière Rouge

Rivers overran their banks near Val-David in Quebec, Canada, on Thursday, April 25, forcing drivers to navigated flooded roads, video shows.

Authorities evacuated homes downstream on the Rivière Rouge after water levels at the Chute Bell dam reached a maximum and threatened to trigger a dam failure, HydroQuebec said. Montreal’s Mayor warned rain on Saturday could increase water levels further.

This video shows a flooded road near the Rivière du Nord near Val-David.

Spring flooding also impacted the neighboring province of Ontario. The City of Ottawa declared a state of emergency on Thursday, CBC reported.
