Horizontal Rain and Hail Pound Southeast Queensland

Severe storm warnings were issued for parts of Queensland on October 25 as the state’s southeast was battered by damaging winds, lightning and hail.

This footage, shot by Stuart Shaw, shows horizontal rain and pebble-sized hailstones pounding his Karalee home.

“There was a huge amount of water, hail and wind that threw trampolines and garbage bins around into people’s backyards,” Shaw told Storyful.
