A kangaroo jumped into oncoming traffic while attempting to cross a street in Magill, Adelaide, and somehow hopped away unscathed.

Sebastian Tripodi recorded a video of the incident, which shows the kangaroo jumping from a residential sidewalk, into a street as several cars pass through.

The video, which went viral after being posted by a local news channel on October 2, shows one of the cars coming to a screeching halt as the kangaroo jumps in front of it, narrowly avoiding a collision.

“Oh my god,” Triponi says as the car almost hits the kangaroo. No damage appears to have been done though, with the animal hopping back onto the sidewalk before making a sharp left turn at the end of the street. Credit: Sebastian Tripodi via Storyful
