Muddy Waters Flood Nigerian Town of Lokoja

Sections of Lokoja, Nigeria, were flooded on September 18 as overflow from the Niger and Benue rivers continued to inundate the country.

This footage is shows swamped areas near the Ganaja Road in Lokoja.

Nigerian President Muhamadu Buhari declared a natural disaster in the states of Kogi, Niger, Anambra and Delta on September 14, and at least 100 people were reported to have died across 10 states lying along the Niger and the Benue rivers, as seen in a map shared on Twitter by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
