Rehabbed Bald Eagles Released Back Into the Wild in Missouri

The Missouri Department of Conservation, in partnership with the University of Missouri Raptor Rehabilitation Project, released two bald eagles back into the wild on Saturday, February 15.

The eagles were released from the Fountain Grove Conservation Area in Meadville and the Mussel Fork Conservation Area in Bucklin.

According to the Missouri Department of Conservation, Conservation Agent Griffin Surtin rescued both eagles and took them to the University of Missouri Raptor Rehabilitation Project, where they were cared for until the Saturday release. Credit: Missouri Dept. of Conservation via Storyful
