Political organizer Maxwell Little captured the moment he was shot in the leg while canvassing for 15th Ward alderman candidate Joseph Williams in Chicago, Illinois, on December 9.

The video shows Little speaking to camera when gunshots ring out. In the post, which includes a photo of his leg wound, he says, “The bullet went through.”

Little was also a staffer for Chicago mayoral candidate Lashawn Ford, who was quoted in news reports as saying he was “hurt by what happened to him (Little) while he was engaging in the democratic process.” Credit: Maxwell Little via Storyful
