Texas’s Fort Worth Zoo said they welcomed the arrival of a newborn male Asian elephant calf on October 21.

The baby elephant, named Brazos, weighed 255 pounds and was 37-inches-tall when he was born, the zoo said. He’s the fourth Asian elephant to be born at the zoo.

“Both mother and calf are doing well,” the zoo wrote in a press release on November 9. “Currently, they are spending time bonding in behind-the-scenes area, and the calf is gaining about two pounds a day.”
