While animals at the Cincinnati Zoo were enjoying their snow day on the morning of February 9, staff were working to clear pathways for visitors so they could open by noon.

Up to 10 inches of snow was reported to have fallen overnight in some areas of the Cincinnati region, the National Weather Service (NWS) said. Downtown Cincinnati, not far from the zoo, had seven inches, the NWS said.

The zoo shared this footage of various animals enjoying their snow day on February 9. The footage shows a rhino getting a snootful of snow, a wallaby having an icy treat, and Rico the porcupine nibbling on fresh snow. The zoo also shared drone footage of the snow-covered facility.
