Lucky Whale Watchers Have Magical Humpback Encounter Off Irish Coast

A whale-watching tour group enjoyed a close encounter with four humpback whales off the south Irish coast, recently shared video shows.

Cork Whale Watch owner Colin Barnes said the whales circled his boat, the MV Holly Jo, for close to an hour off the coast of west Cork on June 13.

“Showing their inquisitive nature, they approached the MV Holly Jo fearlessly for a prolonged inspection for close to an hour, from every angle, showing all parts of their anatomy at times,” he said.
