The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said it evacuated patients from north Gaza’s Kamal Adwan Hospital on Sunday, November 4, as local media reported Israeli shelling of the hospital’s pediatric ward.

Several children were injured in the artillery shelling, the hospital’s director told Anadolu Agency.

Israeli officials said, “a humanitarian convoy enabled the evacuation of patients and staff from the Kamal Adwan and Al-Awda hospitals to other hospitals in northern Gaza.”

“As the convoy passed by the Kamal Adwan Hospital, terrorist organizations detonated an explosive device only a few hundred meters away from the hospital,” according to Israeli officials.

At least six children were injured by the explosion, they said.

PRCS said it transferred 30 patients, and 33 companions, to al-Shifa Hospital.

WHO said it moved 23 patients from Kamal Adwan to al-Shifa on October 28.
