'Watch Out!': Severe Thunderstorm Blows Through Pittsburgh

Weather warnings were in effect for western Pennsylvania as thunderstorms carrying up to 50 mph wind gusts blew through the region on Wednesday, November 20.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), a line of thunderstorms was located on radar on Wednesday afternoon, carrying wind gusts up to 50 mph.

“Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects,” the weather service warned.

Footage taken by Zach Muraskin shows gusty winds hitting Carnegie Mellon University’s campus in Pittsburgh on Wednesday.
