B.C. moves to ban drug use in public spaces after concerns over pilot program

A change in approach Friday from the provincial government in its fight against the toxic drug crisis. David Eby's government effectively recriminalized the use of drugs in public places, after months of public backlash. Eby says his government is working with Ottawa on exemptions that would ban the use of illicit drugs in places like parks, on transit and in hospitals.
