Intel's foundry unit posted $7 billion operating loss in 2023

Intel (INTC) revealed a new financial reporting structure that takes into account the company's burgeoning foundry business. It's part of Intel's plans to start making other company's chips, in addition to their own. As part of the announcement, the company revealed Intel Foundry posted a nearly $7 billion operating loss in 2023. The loss had been $5.2 billion in 2022.
