Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced a global partnership with consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble, a firm the Duchess once accused of sexist advertising. The couple’s non-profit Archewell Foundation, confirmed on Tuesday their multi-year deal with the American firm. The collaboration will focus on gender equity, more inclusive online spaces and impact through sport. At only 11-years-old, Meghan wrote a letter to P&G complaining about the company using sexist language in an advert for dishwashing soap. Particularly questioning the firm’s use of the phrase: “Women all over America are fighting greasy pots and pans.” Meghan’s initiative paid off, as the company changed the word “women” to “people” in the promo. The Duke and Duchess joined forces with P&G on US Mother’s Day this year with a donation to an LA-based charity helping homeless pregnant women and children.
