Freezing Temperatures Bring Snow and Ice to Spain

Snow covered parts of Spain on February 27 and 28, after an Arctic air mass brought cold temperatures to the country.

Video filmed by Alfonso Tomas shows heavy snowfall and icicles in Sotres, a mountain village in the Asturian municipality of Cabrales.

Spain’s weather service AEMET said the air mass would begin to withdraw on Wednesday. The service said temperatures would remain below average for the time of year until at least Friday. Credit: Alfonso Tomas via Storyful
