Tiffany's celebrates re-opening of New York flagship store

STORY: The store is the centerpiece of a broad brand reset orchestrated by Tiffany's owner - and the world's largest luxury group - LVMH.

Gadot appeared alongside Tiffany executives Anthony Ledru and Alexandre Arnault, who snipped the ribbon in the label's trademark robin's egg blue at the corner of East 58th Street and 5th Avenue.

The historic building was built in the early 1900s and anchors a prominent stretch of real estate in Manhattan.

It accounted for 10% of Tiffany's global sales before closing for renovations in 2019 and will likely remain the most important retail outlet for the label - both in terms of sales, and as a means to project its image around the world, Ledru said.

The nearly four-year-long overhaul began before the label was purchased by LVMH. The luxury group did not reveal the cost of the renovations, but executives said it was by far the group's largest retail investment - surpassing Dior's Avenue Montaigne flagship in Paris, which opened last year.
