The National Police of Ukraine said at least one person died after a shopping center in Odesa was hit by Russian missile strikes on May 9.

Video released by police on May 10 shows a person being carried out on a stretcher during search-and-rescue operations in what police described as “civilian infrastructure destroyed by missiles,” according to a machine translation.

Video from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine showed firefighters battling a blaze at the Riviera mall in Odesa overnight into May 10.

Odesa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov said one person was killed and several others wounded, including guards, in the overnight strikes.

Natalia Gumenyuk, head of the press office for the Security and Defense Forces of the South, said that Russian forces had used Soviet-era missiles, according to a machine translation. Credit: National Police of Ukraine via Storyful
