A pampered chinchilla took a dust bath in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 24.

Michelle Gross runs the phillychinchilly TikTok account, which features her creatively named chinchilla Phil E Chinchilla. The account has accumulated almost 2 million followers.

Chinchillas have up to 80 hairs per follicle. Their dense coat is not meant to get wet because it can be hard to completely dry, according to pet brand Kaytee. This is why chinchillas take dust baths as opposed to water baths. Credit: Michelle Gross via Storyful
