The exhibition, entitled 'Evolution on the path of lights', is a trip back to prehistoric times, as far back as 600 million years ago.

More than 100 light sculptures of larger than life animals and plants are displayed across the park, including well known dinosaurs like triceratops and brontosaurus, a bug-eyed sea creature and what resembled a giant centipede with multiple horns.

"I think it's great. I love all the different prehistoric animals that we can see. The colors are fantastic. Obviously the Jardin des Plantes, the environment, is superb, so for me it's just really great to have this opportunity." said exhibition visitor, Caroline Johnson.

Aside from large animals, the light sculptures also represented insects, vertebrates, and other creatures that roamed the earth through the Paleolithic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. Neolithic men are also on display.

Visitors can walk through tunnels formed by some of the sculptures, which are made of paper, steel and lights.

The exhibition, the third of its kind at the Jardin des Plantes, runs from November 29th to January 30th.
