Lost Italian village emerges after 71 years

This Italian village emerged from a lake after 71 years

Locator: Lake Resia, Italy

The village of Curon once had some 900 residents

but it was flooded in 1950 to create a hydroelectric plant

Recently, the lake was drained for repair works

revealing remnants of the lost village

But the attraction won't be there for long

Workers have started to release water back into the lake

leaving the village hidden underwater once again
