Connecticut Blasted by Powerful Nor'easter Snowstorm

Power lines were downed, causing outages in parts of Connecticut on December 5 as the first nor’easter of the season dumped snow across New England.

Power supplier Eversource said “heavy, wet snow” was weighing down trees and power lines, with outages mainly affecting eastern parts of the state.

Roadways across the state were becoming slick, NBC Connecticut reported Saturday afternoon. State police had posted to Twitter earlier that they were “responding to accidents all over the state,” and asked motorists to stay home if they can. Credit: @eweather via Storyful
