In 2007, street-smart and charismatic Khali Sweeney scraped together enough money to convert an old car wash into a bare-bones boxing gym. His mission was to give youth from the mean streets of Eastside Detroit a safe place to receive boxing training and tutoring services. As he moves into a state-of-the-art facility eight years later, he can be proud of the 100 percent high school graduation rate of his participants.
