Denver-Area Residents Get a Light Show as Thunderstorms Pass Through
Lightning streaked across the sky in the Denver metro area on Thursday, June 8, as thunderstorms made their way through the region.
The National Weather Service (NWS) issued severe weather statements for some communities in the area, alerting residents of strong winds and the possibility of hail. Heavy rain was expected too, they said.
This slow-motion footage by Twitter user @Fuel13 shows the lightning show above Highlands Ranch, a Denver suburb.
