Houses Destroyed as Tornado Rips Through Mullica Hill, New Jersey

A tornado ripped through Mullica Hill, New Jersey, on September 1, causing extensive damage and destroying several homes in the area.

This video shows several leveled and severely damaged homes.

The National Weather Service called the tornado “very impressive,” adding that it “lofted debris thousands of feet into the air.”

Tornadoes were confirmed earlier on Wednesday in Maryland. Farther north, a tornado watch was in effect until early Thursday in parts of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
