Drone Footage Shows Mother Elephant Cuddling Calf Days After Reunion

Newly released drone footage shows the touching moment of a mother elephant cuddling up to her calf days after it was returned to her by foresters at the Anamalai Tiger Reserve in Tamil Nadu, India.

Supriya Sahu, the Additional Chief Secretary of Environment, Climate Change & Forests of Tamil Nadu, said the calf had been found searching for its mother.

The team used drones and experienced forest watchers to locate the herd and safely reunited the calf with its mother, Sahu said.
