featuring clothes made from discarded company uniforms

"We had a huge volume of uniforms that would be discarded due to re-branding. Then came the idea of developing a whole collection based on the concept of the circular economy."

The 'Energy Collection' celebrates

upcycling and sustainable fashion

The looks reused uniforms

from gas company ENEL

and airline Azul Linhas Aereas

(SOUNDBITE) (Portuguese) PRESIDENT OF G10 SLUMS ASSOCIATION, GILSON RODRIGUES, SAYING:

"(The project) has transformed lives and built dreams through the training of seamstresses, generating work and income. We are proud to show solutions at a time when people are going through difficulties. (We are) proud to see that the favela has organized to overcome the financial and health crisis."

The money raised will go to the seamstresses

and help train new needle workers in the favela
