Electric van scoops up speed record

British inventor Edd China

has achieved the first ever

Guinness World Record

for the fastest electric ice cream van

The eco-friendly vehicle achieved a speed

of over 70 miles per hour

It took Edd two years to ‘electrify’ the van

which originally had a diesel engine

He also created a conversion kit for ice cream vans

to move from diesel to electric

to help combat emissions

an idea he hopes will be used around the world
