The Elmo fire burning in Northwest Montana grew to over 16,000 acres (about 25 square miles) on Tuesday, August 2, according to official reports.

This footage uploaded to Twitter by user Jaime McBroom shows an aircraft flying low and releasing water over a section of the fire.

According to the Lake County Facebook page, evacuations had been issued in the area on Monday, August 1, and the Red Cross was helping evacuees in a local high school.
