A total of 19 teenagers aged between 14 and 18 were transported to local hospitals in Surfside Beach, southern Texas, on Thursday, June 8, after falling from a ramp that collapsed in the area, authorities said.

According to Surfside Police Department, the incident occurred in the beach town, located about 60 miles south of Houston, just after 1 pm Thursday and the injured were all part of a summer camp group visiting the area.

None of the teenagers sustained life-threatening injuries and the cause of the ramps collapse was under investigation, police said.
