Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced on March 30 that a grand jury voted to indict former President Donald Trump over a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The DA’s office was in contact with Trump’s lawyers, who expected him to surrender, they told media.

In a park across the street from the criminal courthouse in Lower Manhattan on Thursday evening, anti-Trump demonstrators rolled out a large banner that read, “Trump lies all the time,” video taken by Ben Von Klemperer shows. He told Storyful the crowd was mostly media with a “handful of protesters.”

The NYPD said all officers were to report in uniform at 7 am Friday to prepare for any unrest, according to an internal memo obtained by PIX11 News. Credit: Ben Von Klemperer via Storyful
