Volunteers cleaned a beach in Marseille, France, on October 6 after it was left strewn with rubbish in the wake of flooding.

RFI said a “tide of trash” hit coastal areas near the city, as heavy rain washed away garbage that had accumulated due to a collection strike.

This footage showing the cleanup efforts on Plage de l’Huveaune was posted to the Facebook group Marseille Villages.
