Satellite Images Show Aftermath of Catastrophic Flooding in Libya

Satellites have captured dramatic before-and-after photos of the floods in Derna, Libya, after Storm Daniel hit on Sunday, September 10.

At least 2,300 people have been killed, according to Libya’s Ambulance and Emergency Service, but a much higher death toll is feared.

Ten thousand people have been reported missing and about 7,000 injured.

The before images were taken on September 2 and the after images on September 12, according to Planet Labs.
