The New York City Police Department (NYPD) has asked for help identifying two people suspected of breaking multiple LBGTQIA+ flags on display outside the Stonewall National Monument in Greenwich Village in the early hours of Saturday, June 10.

Security footage released by NYPD shows the two people crossing a street next to the monument at Christopher Park. Both were wanted on suspicion of criminal mischief, police said.

The monument commemorates the Stonewall Uprising of June 28, 1969, which is considered “a milestone in the quest for LGBTQ+ civil rights and provided momentum for a movement,” according to the National Park Service (NPS).
