NASA Image Shows Lightning on Jupiter

NASA’s Juno Mission captured the green glow of a lightning bolt above Jupiter’s north pole, an image processed last year shows.

The Juno spacecraft has been orbiting Jupiter since 2016 and captured this image on December 2020, during its 31st close fly-by over the planet, NASA said. At the time of the capture, Juno was almost 20,000 miles above Jupiter’s north pole, they said.
