The MV Dali container ship that struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland, early on March 26, causing its collapse, finally departed the area on Monday, June 24, almost three months after the collision.

This footage from the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) shows the Dali passing under the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, about 18 miles south of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, as four tugboats guided it away from Baltimore Harbor and toward the port of Norfolk, Virginia.

Traffic was temporarily held on the bridge “out of an abundance of caution” while the ship passed under it, the MDTA said.

The Dali had remained stuck under a collapsed portion of the bridge for almost two months before being refloated and moved back to port in Baltimore on May 20, according to state officials. Credit: MDTA via Storyful
