Deer Has a Night on the Town in Deserted Central Newcastle

Police in Newcastle in the north of England are used to monitoring vibrant nightlife, but only one party animal was spotted out on the town on May 13.

Northumbria Police said a stag wandered through the city’s deserted streets, taking in Bigg Market while others “a-deer” to the lockdown.

“We let them off on this occasion as they were respecting social distancing and claimed to be doing their daily exercise,” police said, before noting the animal soon departed, perhaps due to the lack of watering holes. Credit: Northumbria Police via Storyful
